New to Canvas?
Here you will find the answer to many common questions from where our campus is located, when are service times, to our core beliefs. So, welcome and discover what Canvas has to offer.
What are the service times?
10:30 AM – Modern worship accompanied by our band. Relevant, dynamic preaching from the Bible.
Where is the church located?
We are in Athens, Georgia at 1761 Highway 29 N; 706.548.1642.
From Athens - Highway 29 N past Athens Tech and the State Patrol Office; make a U-Turn at the last left in Clarke County
What do I wear?
At Canvas, you will find a wide variety of style, from business coat and tie, to jeans and a t-shirt, we have it all. You are welcome in whatever you feel most comfortable.
What do you have for my children?
Your child will be amazed at our children’s ministry that is provided for every service.
In First Look (6wks -K4), we have trained volunteers that will present the love of Jesus to your little ones.
In 252 Kids (K5-5th grade), we have a high-energy, fun filled team of volunteers that edify your children on the miracles and wonders of God and His Word through skits, games and sign worship.
Will I have to give any money?
No. We would not ask any guest to contribute financially to the ministry here at Canvas. Any offering you may give would be completely your decision.
What will I experience when I visit for the first time?
We make every effort to present an inviting and friendly atmosphere from the instant you drive into our parking lot until the moment you leave. We will not embarrass you or make you feel uncomfortable. We know that many people want to just check out our church and that is fine with us. Come in, enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, meet some new friends, and see if this is the church for you.
Will I be contacted or placed on a mailing list?
The pastor customarily sends a letter to any first time attendee just to say thank you for worshiping with us; however, any further contact will be up to you.
Why should I attend Canvas?
We do our best to supply you with every opportunity and resources to grow in your faith and understanding of God’s plan for your life. From the pastor and the staff, to the volunteers, our goal is to provide all means necessary to allow you the life changing opportunity to not only grow closer to God, but fulfill the destiny He has planned for you.
How can I become a part of Canvas?
We offer an assortment of ways to get involved. Our Connection Groups supply a great atmosphere of prayer and care through shared fellowship. For Christian growth, we recommend our Growth Track program that offers a collection of discipleship classes. In addition, we are always eager to see new smiling faces on any one of our eight ministry teams; from greeters, to the youth ministry, to our Sights and Sound, or maybe in the band. We have a place for you!
